Marmo Meccanica Edge Polisher Machines

Marmo Meccanica is one of the most trusted names in edge polishing machinery, with over 50 years of engineering experience and more than 3,500 machines in operation worldwide.

The Marmo Meccanica Edge Polisher Range

Marmo Meccanica produces two families of edge polishing machines, vertical and horizontal, with a range of models within each to suit different workshop sizes, output volumes, and edge profile requirements.

Vertical Edge Polishers (LCV Range)

Vertical edge polishers process stone slabs in the upright position which is the same orientation in which they are typically handled and stored. This reduces the risk of breakage during processing, minimises the machine’s footprint on your workshop floor, and eliminates the need for foundations or special drainage trenching. Water is self-draining and can be directed away via a standard hose connection.

The LCV range is the workhorse of the Marmo Meccanica lineup, capable of polishing flat edges from 12mm ceramic through to 60mm granite, across all types of natural and engineered stone. The continuous operation mode means slabs are loaded one after another, passing through a series of polishing motors to emerge fully finished, including a top and bottom micro-bevel where required.

Horizontal Edge Polishers (LCH Range)

Horizontal edge polishers process slabs in a flat, conveyor-fed orientation, making them particularly well suited to larger format pieces and higher-volume fabrication environments where throughput is a priority. The LCH range is ideal for workshops producing high quantities of kitchen worktops, and for fabricators working with larger or heavier stone pieces that are more easily handled horizontally.

The LCH machines share the same design principles as the LCV range. No foundations required, self-draining, and low maintenance, but in a configuration that suits larger-scale production. Additional modules including milling wheels, mitre edge cutters, and underside polishing pads can be added to extend the machine’s capabilities without changing the core unit.

What can a Marmo Meccanica edge polisher process?

The Marmo Meccanica range is designed to work across the full spectrum of materials used in modern stone fabrication:

Granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, porcelain (such as Dekton worktops), limestone, and sandstone. Applications span kitchen worktops, bathroom surfaces, fireplace surrounds, stone masonry, and memorial stonework.

The configurable pad system means the same machine can switch between aggressive settings for hard stone and gentler settings for more delicate materials, without requiring a separate machine for each material type.

While the engineering of the Marmo Meccanica machine provides the foundation for exceptional results, the performance is ultimately driven by the polishing heads you select.

Stonegate Tooling offers expert, tailored advice on choosing the optimal tooling configuration for your specific workshop needs, considering your primary workflow, the mix of materials you process (e.g., hard granite vs. soft marble), and your required production capacity.

We also provide consultation on operational factors like water quality prior to set up, as this can significantly impact the longevity of the tooling and the final quality of the polished edge.

What's included when you buy through Stonegate

As the exclusive UK and Ireland distributor for Marmo Meccanica, Stonegate provides a level of support that goes beyond the machine itself:

  • Installation: Our technical team comes to your factory to install and commission the machine as part of every purchase, at no extra cost.
  • Operator training: Hands-on training for your team is included as standard, ensuring your operators are confident and productive from day one.
  • Ongoing technical support: Our dedicated edge polisher engineers are available for on-site support, technical advice, and annual servicing.
  • Configuration guidance: Not sure which model is right for your workshop? We’ll assess your output, floor space, and material requirements and recommend the right machine before you commit.

Not sure which Marmo Meccanica machine Is right for you?

With several models across the LCV and LCH ranges, choosing the right configuration can feel complex. Our technical team makes it straightforward. We work with fabricators every day and understand what different workshops actually need in practice.
