Characteristics
Styrex is a hybrid between polyester and vinyl glues which shares the benefits of both types of glue. We recommend Styrex for bonding, laminations and chip repairs on all granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, porcelain, ceramic and UCS material. Styrex works well on white, light and dark surfaces, it sets fast (20mins-1hr depending on the temperature and environment), has very good workability properties and can be used with colour tubes to reach the desired colour. Adding more hardener than directed will make the adhesive yellow.
For internal and external use, Styrex has low curing temperature (+5°C), is easy to apply and has a thick consistency after adding the hardener as well as a high gloss that can be further polished.
How to use
Ensure that the stone to be treated is dry, clean and free of dust. Take the necessary amount of glue and add 1% in weight of the catalyst to the paste. Stir them thoroughly and use the product obtained. Do not return the unused glue to the can. If using a colouring paste or metal oxides this should be done before adding the hardener. An excess of colour may affect the final characteristic of the glue.
